I'm going on a cruise May 20th... Sunday-Sunday WHAT DO I PACK?!?!? |
Travel Info We are going to cozumel, costa maya, and yucatan mexico.... and roatan, honduras! I've never been on a cruise, what should I pack? Travel Tips I get stressed out too when I go on a cruise. Just remember, this is your VACATION. You're there to have fun - and best yet, aside from who you're going with, you will never see these people again!!! :) Bathing Suit Cover Up Shorts T-Shirts/Tank Tops Flip Flops Maybe some sundresses or skirts for dinner Light jacket, since it gets a little breezy outside when you're in the middle of the ocean! Walking shoes (for venturing around your ports of call) Sunglasses Sunscreen After sun lotion Make-up (I forgot mine last time - luckily there IS a clinique store on the ship I went on) Camera Are you going to do formal night? (Go to the cruises website, and find out how many nights are formal there are. Usually on a 6 day cruise, you should have 2 formal nights) (Leave your jeans @ home, since it's hot out, and if you eat dinner in the dining room, they rather you not wear jeans/shorts) Don't over pack!!! That took me a while to learn, but now I pack light, and have fun! You're going to have such a good time!! Relax and have fun!! One of those XXXL Ziploc bags for dirty, yucky sandy clothes. A second swimsuit...who likes to put on a wet swimsuit? A power strip...there are few few power outlets in the room. A lanyard to carry your ship ID key card. Pack anything you want/need before midnight in your carry on luggage...medicine, habit items (cigarettes) motion sick meds, camera, valuables. It can be as late as midnight when you get your luggage. Make sure you have an adequate supply of 1, 5 and 10s in US dollars to use in port for taxis, shopping in open air markets and tipping shore excursion tour guides. A watch to keep time while you are in port. A beach bag to carry items while in port (towels, stuff you buy). Have a good time. If you do a yahoo or google search for cruise packing list a great number of lists pull up for you. I asked this question a few months ago and learned this! Destin1107 has the best suggestion with all you will need and really want to pack. Don't sweat the details as you'll be in a bikini and light clothes 95% of the time having fun. Enjoy it! |
