Is it fun to work on a cruise ship?

Travel Info
Yeah? no? maybe?

Travel Tips
I have talked to several of the wait staff on the cruises I have been on, and they have all told me that the hours are long, and by the end of their contract, they were ready to take a break. They had moments, but I don't think they would have called it fun. But, it was probably better than the countries that they lived in. Mostly Eastern European and Phillipines. Source(s): sa
Other Travel Tips
The people I have talked to on a cruise said that working on a cruise is great. But I guess it all depends on what cruiseline too. However they said they miss their families because they are away on ships constantly for weeks and months at a time, depending on their job. I guess it all depends on the type of person you are. If you can tolerate being away from family and friends for a while, working on a cruise is probably great.
