What is it like to work on a cruise ship, especially in the bartending services or any job ? |

Travel Tips hard and lonely. you will see a lot of people in a flash we have cruise ship too coming to Copenhagen. if you know where that is Source(s): jette copenhagen denmark Other Travel Tips I asked some people who worked on the ship I was on, and they said they had to work 10-12 hour days and they didn't get to get off the ship that much when it stopped at a port. But they were paid really well. well my uncle worked on one and he says its cool, but if you work on a cruise ship that goes to a really hot place then its misreable, he worked on walt disney cruise line and it went to mexico and he says when he worked it was so hot that he could die. so don't work on a cruise ship, only go on one if your on vacation. but if you're inside and your working then theres air conditionar so its nice. Depends a lot. Staff positions are nice, even though hard work. Staff are receptionists, gift shop personnel, spa, casino, photo, sometimes shore-ex. Crew members are bartenders, bar waiters, waiters, cabin stewards... thats hard work indeed. Staff usually have deck access and can use some passenger areas, bars, disco and sometimes restaurants, even pool or at least sun decks. Crew only go to pax areas while working. Also Staff has better cabins and usually cabin stewards, laundry etc. There is usually a restaurant for the staff separate from the crew. It麓s all very separate. I know a lot of staff members who would not even speak to crew members which is ridiculous. I did 10 years working reception and gift shops, its nice, i like it. The gift shops have the advantage of very rarely working while in port, so you got to see all the places you stop. www.hardingbros.co.uk is a large owner of gift shops its easy to get in as well, as long as your english is good, interviews are over the phone... and to be a sales rep is not nuclear physics right? good luck f |
