Mexican Riviera Cruise?

I am going on the Mexican Riviera Cruise with carnival in July, is there any can't miss adventures at any of the stops, and even though they say you can't bring alcohol on board at the port of embarcation, any advice or success stories on doing so?

First, don't take advice from BW. BW's talking about Riviera Maya on the Eastern side of Mexico and the Mexican Riviera is on the Western coast of Mexico.

I wouldn't risk bringing alcohol on board - they search everything now and if you're caught trying to sneak alcohol on board at embarkation or in one of the ports, they can kick you off the ship and leave you on your own to find your way home -- and they have done it! Same punishment for someone providing alcohol to a minor on board.

You can buy alcohol (bottled) in ports to bring back, but they take them from you when you board (security and Xray like at the airports everytime you leave and board the ship), mark them with you're room number, and return them to you before you disembark at the end of the cruise. Don't think risking the entire cost of the cruise is worth a few $$$ of alcohol.
Others

If you are going to playa del carmen you have to do the xcaret tour and snorkel in the underground river. You might try putting vodka in a mouthwash bottle in your suitcase and having that to mix with orange juice which is also free. small bottles you can buy in town and keep in your pocket usually arent checked.
