How can i successfully sneak booze on a cruise to the bahamas?? |
Travel Info i am going on a cruise to the bahamas in a month, and i know that the drinks are not too much more expensive on the boat, but after 10 days of being on the boat, that can suffice for a huge bill in drinks. Sooo....has anyone tried or know of THE BEST way to sneak booze onto the ship? ie: a suitcase full? dump out a case of water bottles and fill them with vodka? any other successful, sneaky ways would be great!! :) Travel Tips You can try the ideas that are already here, but I know several people who have gotten caught, and had their stash confiscated. The cruise lines have been more diligent about this with the amount of "accidents" involving smuggled alcohol. Source(s): sa Other Travel Tips Just put the bottle of booze in your suitcase and walk on board. as long as the bottle doesnt leave the ship, you'll be fine. They have thousands of passengers and don't search the bags, especially because the baggage never leaves the ship, so you never violate customs. If your really worried about it put the booze into a medicine bottle, like tylenol PM or something, or even a listerine bottle. check the cruise lines "allowance" for cosmetics. You can bring a half gallon bottle of "listerine" ;) ;) on board. When I was in the Navy I did it all the time. Take your booze and hide it in between many clothes, and when you first get on your baot and get your luggage they probably wont find it and you wont get in trouble but if you do just say you 4got ! works everytime , and they normalyly let u keep it :) im only 14 but last year when me and my cousins snuck booz on the cruise to the bahamas we just put it all in like empty bottles like shampoo or listerine or perfume.... that kinda stuff. & i think since we were only 12 & 13 at the time they didnt even think to check ;) wow were those nights fun... cant wait to do it all again in november. hahaha i just went on a cruise last week and I brought a bottle of rum with me. Just put it in your checked luggage. Don't try to carry it on because they run your carry-on stuff through a metal detector. They don't check your checked luggage at all. Wow! you must be a heavy drinker if you would drink a caseful of water bottles filled with vodka in 10 days. If you are a casual drinker, just put a bottle of liquor in your checked baggage and it will get there just fine. You actually will enjoy the cruise a lot more if you are sober than falling down drunk. Drinks are in the $6 range and a few of those each day is not going to break you, I hope. You would not consider sneaking your own booze into a club. Why do it on a ship? |
