It's all under National Vacations/TCI umbrella and it has hundreds of different names as they change the name each time the old name gets too "dirty." Apparently its fairly common and you are not alone. Be grateful it was a $100 deposit and not more. File with Better Business Bureau and contact your state's atty gen. Thats about all you can do. In Texas and New Hampshire, it looks like there is a possibility of a class action lawsuit.

I doubt you'll ever get your money back and I can just about promise you'll never get a cruise.

The Rip-Off Report is the greatest website ever. I was employeed by a company--under the CYDCOR umbrella though the individual company takes all the heat which is owned by one small person and how that one person merely moves and changes the company's name and that keeps Cydcor looking prestine and shiny throughout all the mudslinging. As I said, I was employeed and quickly realized it wasn't right. We were selling office supplies to people that requested catalogs. But never received names of those who requested catalogs--we were just walking door to door. Sometimes taking orders for people already with the office supply company, which meant no money for me. The boss said it would take a couple weeks for paperwork and that the paycheck would come in a month--until then I'd just be commission only. Friday 5pm she told me the next morning 8am I had to go to Ohio. And I was dumb enough to do it--it didn't occur to me that no real company would send you last minute out of state with no concern for your priorities. Oops the company doesn't pay for this lil vacation to Ohio either. At the end of the week I realized I was out so much money I had to quit--and this was far before gas prices skyrocketed.

Everyone falls for some sort of scam at some point in their lifetime. There are just so many of them and they are well funded and getting better and better at it. Just consider it a lesson learned and be a wiser consumer in the future. Source(s): http://budgettravel.about.com/od/plannin...

Other Travel Tips
unfortunately anyone offering free is not honest...you can contact your state atty general: google your state atty for their website, and call or email them for help.
You should have run the moment they said "free cruise" which, as you found out, is NOT free since you had to pay $100...

Start bugging them for a refund.

Get in touch with BBB, ripoffreport.com, planetfeedback.com, mytwocents.com.

Hound them incessantly. DO NOT let up. They get away with tons of money because people do not put a fire under their butt with a refund.
I haven't been following the problems with the stated company. Keep in mind that most "free" travel isn't completely free. But they must tell you that up front.

I am donating a cruise to a local Police organization to help raise funds for their new K9 dog...the cruise is paid for, but the government taxes, transportation, gratuity etc...is going to be the responsibility of the winner of the cruise.

Oh...and they must purchase a raffle ticket.

Good luck...
