How would you rate the Carnival ship Imagination and the 5 day cruise to Cayman Islands and Ocho Rios? |
Travel Info My boyfriend and I are going in August and it's a first time cruise for the both of us. Travel Tips I have been on the Inspiration to Grand Cayman. I talked to some people who were on the Imagination while I was there. It was basically the same ship. Good food and plenty to do. Grand Cayman was nice, but the people were a little on the rude side. I have not been to Ocho Rios, but I have been told to be careful if you travel there. Stay in the "tourist" areas and do not take any tours from people you meet on the street. They have a rep for taking you to the rainforest, and then demanding a huge fee to take you back to the ship. Book your excursions on the ship to be safe. Source(s): sa Other Travel Tips I never rode on the Imagination, but I've gone on two cruises with Carnival and they were both awesome. I'd definately stay with them, though I don't know much about that ship itself. The fantasy class ships are very nice, not to huge and not to small. As far as your port choice, GC is great if you want to lay out on the beach or get in the water. It is modernized and safe. Ocho is a very scenic place but it is not safe or very civilized. However if you book a guided tour, you can do / see some cool things. I loved the canopy tour there! Carnival is an awesome way to take your vacation been on the Fantasy and the Inspiration and we have another booked on the Glory in Sept, that alone should say a lot. Cayman Islands is a sooo cute and fun to just walk around in, there are tour guides at the dock where the tender boats are, just look around a bit before you decide what to do. oh and when we where there the Imagination was anchored nest to us o:)NA I just went in April... it was awesome.... you will have a great time.. We did the jeep excursion in Cayman....and the beach excurion..I don't remember what it was called... but basically they treated you like a Queen ..while you sat all day at the beach. Have fun. |
