Travel Info If you are in a big cruise boat and you hit some really bad waters what percentage of people would get sick??? Travel Tips i would say 25% based on a scientic research saying more onboard members get sick when you come amongst high or heavy waves. Why? It increases the risk of vomieting when the human body face unknown shakege. Source(s): www.cruise1.com www.researchcruise.com/boat/cr... Other Travel Tips It doesn't have to be bad weather for people to get sick on a cruise boat. The bad weather makes the water rocky, which causes the ship to sway. The ship is going to sway naturally. The cruise I went on in April led to my girlfriend getting a little sick at sea. We had seven days of clear sailing. My advice is to take some over the counter medicine from Wal-Mart with you on the trip. It will settle your stomach and allow you to have a great time. To answer the question though, I would guess that about 10% would get a little sick. It wouldn't slow them down, but it would make them feel a little whoosie. About 15% of people will get sick, even with medications. If the waves are huge and it's bad weather, it's very common for that to happen |
