I'm looking online for a cruise ship called "Colonel Nathan Flanders".? |
Travel Info I was on this ship in 2002 with my high school music department. We went on a dinner cruise. It docked from the Sky Dome in Toronto, Canada. Did they change the name or something????? Travel Tips It absolutely was NOT a Renaissance ship. That cruise line did not "name" their ships - they gave them numbers! Their eight almost identical ships were named R-1, R-2, R-3, etc . . . . In fact, I'm going on one of those ships in February in South America - now the Celebrity Cruise Line owned "Azamara Journey". I've spent some time trying to find this ship for you. Based on your narrative, it sounds like it was a bay cruiser (used for dining and sightseeing - 2 or 3 decks, maybe 300 people - similar to The Spirit Line; Spirit of NY, NJ, PA, etc), not a cruise ship. These ships are often used by one company for a few years then sold to the next operator who wants to run them. I hope this information was helpful. Other Travel Tips This name no longer exists so it was most likely a Renaissance cruise ship as they went out of business and their fleet was sold and renamed.
