Do you have a mini fridge in all of the cabins? 5. Is the pool small or big? 6. Has anyone been on Carnival:Sensation. 7. What do you mostly do when you come on a cruise and at the capatains dinner is all quiet with people or is there a little shindy going on? Travel Tips 1. Yes room service is free and you get a continental breakfast delivered to your room if you fill out the order form before morn. 2. There will be different pools on the ship. The kiddie pool might close like at six. the main pool like at 12 3.No they play dif movies on your fun days at sea and there is the cruise channel in addition to other channels. 4. I didnt have a mini fridge. they gave us the little ice container thingy 5. The pools are not huge like for taking laps in the pools. they are mainly for hanging out and racin in the cruise games 6.No i went on the imagination 7 you mainly eat all day. If you bring alot of money get a massage. Theres the club and casino Others I haven't used Carnival before. However, the guy who got me interested in cruising has been on nearly all of them. If Carnival is like the rest, there is about a ten dollar a day per person fee for room service. It's cheap if you think about it though, because if you had to give a dollar to everyone that helped you, you'd go broke. The pool on the cruise I went on didn't close. They had two pools and one was huge and the other one was about the size of one in a back yard. They were tons of fun for the teenagers. I didn't swim any much. We had very select channels on our cruise. However, we didn't watch much tv either. They had ABC, a couple of Cruise stations, and a couple of news channels. They also played movies (both new releases and old classics). We had a minifridge in the cabin. It was great for storing all the extra cokes we bought in port. The captain dinners are nice. They give you a chance to get dressed up and eat some great food. The food on board is always awesome. You'll have a blast. How about trying their website? You can even set up a planner there: http://www.carnival.com/cms/static_templ... I have cruised aboard the Dawn Princess several times and room service was charged to your shipboard account, as are your beverages. I am sure the website I gave you will explain the gratuity thing. My shipboard account was charged $10 a day to cover gratuities, and no further tipping was required unless you found someone who gave extra special service. Oh, by the way, if they offer a Travel coke cup with unlimited soda, it costs $49.95. Unless you drink an awful lot of soda, pass on that one. You will enjoy your cruise...great experience and plenty to do. Room service is free however a tip is expected. When we called the infirmary for sea sickness meds we were charged for delivery I believe the pools close at 10:00 P.M. Yes, cable in all rooms but don't expect much as it goes out a lot delending on where you are. NOT ALL ROOMS have a refrigerator. Our last cruise we had ocean view outside room and no frig. There are 4-6 pools some much larger and deeper than others. None Huge but enough to get wet in. Never been on Sensation but on Glory, Miracle, Elaton and Inspiration. We never even saw the captain.... Dining area is usually noisy as they do have entertainers. We relax, go to casino, pool, and wonder. Have Fun... 1. Do you get FREE room service or you have to pay the steweart? Room service is free, but you give the delivery person a tip when they give you the food. 2. When does the pool close on a carnival cruise? around 9PM, not late enough. 3. Is there cable is all cabins? There is satellite TV that shows a few of the network channels. They also play several movies on a loop. 4. Do you have a mini fridge in all of the cabins? There isn't a fridge as far as I remember. 5. Is the pool small or big? it's rather small. They have two pools and probably a waterslide, too. 6. Has anyone been on Carnival:Sensation. no, I was on carnival valor. 7. What do you mostly do when you come on a cruise and at the capatains dinner is all quiet with people or is there a little shindy going on? Everyone is dressed formally and they usually serve lobster and filet. Besides that, it's the same as any other dinner. They may introduce the captain. I forget. 1 - it is optional, but not required. 2 - during night-time they drain the pools and fill them up in the morning. 3- you only get a few channels. one is the events that happen on the ship that was recorded. one is music videos. and i think there one with movies. 4 - yes but you have to pay for all of the drinks you open in the cabins. [bottled water, sodas, alcohol, etc.] - but actually it depends on which kind of cabin you have, the most expensive ones have a frige, cheaper ones dont. 5 - i personally dont like the pools because it's obviously ocean water and it's usually crowded with other kids running around. but there's a fun water slide =D 6 - ive only been on Glory, Inspiration, and Celebration [going on Glory again on the 23rd WOOOO!!! lol] 7 - Captains dinner is a fun night you get to dress up really nice!! it's really not any different than any other dinner except that people are in tuxes, dresses, etc. but go to ALL of the dinners cuz you'd really be missing out if you dont. huge tip: dont be quiet with the waitors. open up to them and you will have the best time! 1. U get a limited amount of room service I think its like 3x's for a week long cruise after that it will be charged to your cabin. Also, Gratuity for your waiter and cabin boys are added @ the end of your trip. They can come up to over $100. U can turn this option off when you board the ship. I gave each person the tip I thought they deserved @ the end of the trip. 2. The pool closes at like 8/9. They may close the pool/deck if the wind is really powerful that day for fear of anyone being thrown overboard 3. They have corny TV. sorry. U might catch something good if you are lucky. They run the same moves over, a day at a time 4. Every room i've ever had, had a mini fridge. I've had both staterooms w a window and an upgade to a balcony. I never had a inside cabin so I dont know about those 5.I think the pool is small, u cant swim around but they do have a slide which is fun 6.Sensation was my first cruise! I had a ball! I recently went on the legend. The decor sucked even though it was a newer ship. The pool is better on sensation too 7. U can do what ever you want on a cruise. Stay in the room and sleep, go on an excursion when your ship docks, go to the spa/salon, casino, kareokee, broadway show. shop, go to the beach, snorkel, sight seeing, extreme sports (jet ski, para sailing) They have bars and night clubs on board, arcades, art shows. Take professional pictures, they also have family rooms where u can do things like play board games and cards. Carnival also tapes the trip. They show what they taped for the day on tv that night and u can buy the tape if u want. They also have interactive shows where they get the audience invovlved. The captains ball is when everyone meets in the theather and the captain and all his assistants are introduced. It is the one event where alchol is served for free. U must dress up for this event. It is formal. Everyone will be dressed to the 9 so be sure to do it up. I hope I helped, Have fun on the FUNSHIP! |
