People who work on ships sign 5-8 month contracts. If you leave early, you are on your own dime to get home. Even entertainers normally are on for several weeks or months.

Nope. You are on a contract. You will be on the ship for about six months.

I agree with the above answerer. you will sign a contract good for six months and have the chance to renew it for you are highly recommended by your superior onboard.
