Im going on a cruise to alaska...what should i bring? |
Travel Info im going on a 7 day cruise on saturday..what to pack..i normally go on warm-weathered cruise..HELP! Travel Tips Alaska has such varying climates. Since you are taking a cruise in July, you may never know! For 7 days, I would pack about 3 days worth of "Alaskan warm weather" clothing (t-shirts, shorts, maybe a couple of tanks), and 7-days worth of cool-weather clothing (long-sleeve Ts, jeans, sweatshirts, some extra short sleeve Ts), a wind-breaker style jacket, a raincoat, and a polar-fleece type coat, light gloves, and maybe a ballcap or light hat. Also, something nice for the cruise. This may sound like a lot, but I think that it is best to be prepared. Jackets and raingear at the tourist stops can get expensive. Have fun! Source(s): I live in Alaska. Other Travel Tips mosquito repellent. This time of year usually around 70 to 75 during the day & 50's at night. Always alittle cooler on water. A light jacket should be fine. You will meet lots of people from all over & see things you never thought were possible. ENJOY. Been 20 times. The best thing to do is to pack for dressing in layers. Alaska weather varies. It can be cool in the summer with rain, or it might be sunny and warm in the low 70's. I've heard that the mosquito is Alaska's state insect. So, it wouldn't hurt to take some mosquito repellant. Have a great time on your cruise!
