Has anyone seen the mayan temples at Cozamel?? |
Travel Info did you go with a cruise ship excursion or did you go find them on your own??? Travel Tips Yes I have been to Cozumel last Sept and I am going back this Sept. the ruins on the island of Cozumel are San Gervais, and they are not big but in very good condition, the alter was to Mayan moon goddess and the alter is even intact. you can get there by cad easily and the price to get in is about $6 (US). I really enjoyed this and am considering going back too. We had a lot of fun but it was extremely hot and the only thing they offered to drink on the bus was beer and soda. It was very hot. And, if you've never been to Mexico, the plmbing is no that great, so it smells a little. I had fun though and the markets are great too. You can bargain with anyone down there. No but you can check out my blog to see the Buddhist and Hindu temples :-) I went with a tour when we vacationed on the island. I found it very hot and blood thirsty mosquitoes ate me alive. Personally I would never go again Get the ship excursion because the ship will back it up and wait for you should they be late getting back. I went to the ruins but not in Cozumel, they were on the mainland. You take a ferry and it is an all day affair (7 hours). It was very interesting if you like that kind of thing. Be sure and bring water because it can get hot and humid. The cruise ship will usually offer you this (for a fee) before you exit the boat. Have fun. We saw the Ruins, but went on our own. We had several people with us that could speak with a driver. He didn't charge us much to get there and back. It's been years so I can't remember exactly how much. Seems as though it would be easier to go with the ship excursion. |
