Travel Info Has anyone ever been on a cruise on Carnivals Inspiration cruise ship? If so, How is this cruise ship? Travel Tips I took my whole family on the Imagination last year - 8 cabins - it was their yearly presents all rolled-up into one. We went out of Tampa for 5 nights and had a great cruise. The Imagination is one of Carnival's older ships, although she is very well taken care of - nothing seemed to be wearing out or in need of replacement. She only has about 20 cabins with balcony's, and those are only in the suites, but even with her age, we found nothing lacking. The buffet gets crowded, but other than that I had no complaints. The food was OK - not great. The entertainment was the best of any ship I have been on - and we cruise at least twice a year, so that's a big endorsement. The bars and night clubs were a lot of fun. By the way, you may not know that Carnival has the largest standard cabins of any cruise line - 185 sq. ft. compared to 155 - 175 on others. Carnival delivered what it promised and we enjoyed our cruise, and I hope you do too! Source(s): I am a Certified Cruise Consultant Specialist Other Travel Tips I have sailed on two of the Inspiration's sister ships, the Imagination and the Elation (Esctasy in another one in the same class). They aren't mega ships, but there is plenty of room for everyone. The Carnival website can give you specific information about each ship. The ships are not brand new, but we had great times on board. The food was great and you have your choice of sit down dining or the buffet. We usually opted for the buffet. The main deck is a lot of fun, great pool and slide, and lot of activities. Have fun! Check Carnivals website, and they have information and also cruisecritic.com has great reviewson everything from top to bottom so thats all I have to say and have fun and the siser ship Imagination isnt like the ships today and I believe they are somewhat older but thats about it, I mean their great either way and they do wonderful intineraries. We were on the Inspiration in 2000, at that time it was a beautiful ship. There were 13 of us that sailed from the ages of 5 months to 48, no one had any complaints. However since they have lowered the price of cruises I think they cut staff. |
