Can one buy Rum in the Caribbean and bring it back to a carnival ship? |
Travel Info Buying rum on-shore. Travel Tips You can buy it. But, you need to "declare" it when you get back on the ship and basically their hold it for you till you get off the ship. Basically the cruise lines want you to buy their overprice drinks so that's why they do that. Totally bummer!! Unsure on the exact amounts - I ran into this coming back from China - I had several bottles confiscated, but did get several with me. Yes you can.......Just have to claim it in customs upon return to the states. yes you can buy whatever you want to they have no restrictions on anything Yes, but they will take it from you and deliver it to your stateroom on the last night. Or, you can chance it and stick it in your bag. Yes you can, but in limited amounts. You will have to declare it at customs when you get back to the U.S. I believe there is no tax if it's 1/2 gallon or less. |
