What can I use my merchant mariners document besides working on a cruise ship?

Travel Tips
Depends on what kind of 'document' or qualification it is. If its Master or Chief engineer then you could be looking at a multitude of jobs ashore, such as:
Pilot (of the port kind, not the plane kind)
Surveyor
Superintendent
Risk assessor
Underwriter
Any job working in the shore office of a shipping company
Freight forwarding compaines...
and on and on and on

Tho, if you did have a masters of chiefs 'ticket' id guess youd know all that already

As for a sailors qualification (OS/AB/Bosun) erm.....not alot off ships - tho there are dozens of different types of ship to keep you interested if you want to chop and change - tankers, container ships, ro-ro, survey, supply, drilling support - yikes, you name it, there will be a ship for it

Depending what it covers, there may be openings in the cargo ships, local ferry service and the harbour cruise business.
