Cruise lines????

Travel Info
My wife and I want to go on a 10yr anniv. cruise to the Western Caribbean. We are 36 and 40yrs old. What Cruiseline would you chose? Royal Caribbean? Carnival? Princess? Norwegian? Which Ship in that particular line? Why? Just want to narrow down what most people like the best. any helpful info to dgg73@bex.net tx.

Travel Tips
I only had cruise experience with Carnival Cruiseline. And I found the ship I took to be nice and well organized, service staff mostly Filipinos, especially the female bartenders. Efficient and beautiful girls. Complete facilities like different type of dining according to your preference, formal or informal, auditoriums for programs, function rooms for families, for singles, for women only, for children for different activities, different size swimming pools, open air eating place on the upper deck, bars, casino, dancing floors. They even have different international dishes not inlcuded in the dining areas, served in the afternoon in different corners or floors of the ship.

I would endorse Carnival Cruise.

Others
Royal Caribbean is my favorites, for store, meals and the way they treat you. Carnival have more latins is good if you want to enjoy this area, like music.
Go to http://www.love.allabouthoneymoons.com... they can plan any type of trip not just honeymoons and destination weddings. If you tell them what you like and your budget they will plan the perfect trip for you.Best of all if you use there service to book your trip there service is free b/c the fee is paid by the hotel, cruise line or resort.
I have not been on Norwegian or Princess but the others are about equal.

CArnival is not the best choice unless you want a lot of kids and more party oriented people. Holland America draws more mature people and is supposed to be good for those who want to relax. Princess is good to... make sure that you don't go when schools are off... spring break or summer.
in my opinion you'll have more fun on Carnival. If you have days at sea, Carnival will keep you occupied while the others are a little more boring. If you'd rather be on islands, and better islands during your cruise, then try to find a cruise out of San Juan, so you won't have so much time at sea. To save a couple bucks, buy your own snorkel gear here and then you won't have to buy into the ship's excursions. Just get off the ship and ask the taxi driver to bring you to a beach for snorkeling...either private or one that has a bar...and then ask him to pick you up. Plan you excursions online here at home, so you'll have a plan. Try this site for some great cruise deals. iBtraveling.com I usually find something there. Wish you luck! Have fun!
If you go to vacationstogo.com it will give you an idea of the different itineraries available, the sizes of the ships, their star rating and costs for different times of the year. After you have narrowed your choices down to 3 or 4 go to cruiseaddicts.com to the specific ships reviews. I prefer to pay less so that I can cruise more, but I'm not willing to give up comfort. I think the star rating on a ship is more important than which line you use. Pick at least a 4 star and if two ships are going to the ports you like pick the newer one. Staff on ships get promoted for good service up to the newer ships. Bon voyage. Hope this helps.
