Few questions about drinks on cruise ships? |
Travel Info Do you have to pay for your soft drinks at dinner on cruise ships? I am on a carnival ship. Can you bring water or soft drinks in your luggage? Travel Tips Soda is extra as well as liquor. You can have all the fruit juice and water you want. They are now offering a "Fountain Fun Card" What is the Fountain Fun Card? We will offer to all guests the option to purchase a "Fountain Fun Card" which will allow them unlimited soft drinks for the duration of the cruise at a one time purchase price (including gratuities). The "Fountain Fun Card" can be purchased at the casino, lobby and pool bar onboard the ship. In all locations where beverage service is offered, guests may receive a glass of the soft drink of their choice - one glass will be served at a time and only to the guest whose name appears on the card. The card cannot be used through room service. NOTE: A 15% gratuity will automatically be added on at the time of purchase of the Fountain Fun Card. Usually on cruises the soft drinks are extra--if I recall correctly. I may be wrong there. I know if you ordered something from the bar (even just a coke), then you had to pay for it. You can buy a fountain card for 20.00 or so that will give you unlimited access to sodas. If you buy them individually they get rather pricey. This may be a good option for you all. You can try to bring h20 and soft drinks in your luggage. They didn't check ours when I went. So, my advice is buy a fountain card if you think you'll be drinking a lot of soda. They offer this as you go to board the ship! HAVE FUN!! CARNIVAL CRUISES ARE GREAT!! :-D Almost all food and drinks on board are free, or at least included in the ticket price. The exceptions are room service and alcohol. Carnival cruise, a few months ago. You don't have to pay for your soft drinks at dinner... all your meal costs are covered by your cruise tickets. But, if you want something between meals, yes, you have to buy them. As far as I know they don't check luggage for drinks, but in the cabins there is no fridge unless you have one of those high dollar suites. |
