What cruise lines travle out of NYC, besides Carnival?

Travel Info
My friends and I want to go on a cruise mext year for spring break. However, not all of us will be 21, so we need a cruise line that does not have restrictions that need adults over 25 accompanying(i.e. Carnival). Leaving from NYC would be the only logical departure port.

Travel Tips
With Royal Caribbean there policy states that you only have to have someone in the room over 21 if you are under 21, it doesn't need to be a parent or guardian.

As far as ships with Royal Caribbean, Explorer of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean is going to be the least expensive, after Carnival, not sure if budget is an issue or not. Princess is another option, but is going to be a little bit higher.

Other Travel Tips
The only cruiseline that will accomodate you based on age is Princess. You have to be 18 on Princess and 21 on the others. On the others, you must travel with someone who is 25 years or older. The Crown Princess is sailing out of NY. Schedules might change and they may add another ship, but right now its only Crown Princess.
Travel AGent
Carnival's requirement is slightly different from the other cruise lines. You will be OK booking a cruise for your group as long as you meet the ships' age requirement of at least one person age 21 or older in each cabin. Just make sure that there is a person age 21 or older in each cabin.

Several cruise lines depart from New York but you should be aware that Royal Caribbean now has its own cruise port in Bayonne, New Jersey across the river from Manhatten and the port that the others use.

My advice is start shopping on the internet NOW because the earlier you book the better fare you will get and the better chance you will have to get the cabins and locations you want on ship. You will have to post a deposit for each person of approximately $100 to $150 depending on the cost of the cruise.

Many cruises going out of New York go to Bermuda for 5, 6 or 7 days. That is plenty enough time to enjoy Bermuda because there is not a lot to see there , mostly beautiful beaches to enjoy, and golfing if that's your thing. BUT, you will have a great time on ship enjoying the food, service and entertainment. Whatever ship you select will have shows, a casino, pools and hot tubs, pool parties, and a disco that stays open until everyone leaves.

Holland America goes out of NYC, and if you travel to Brooklyn you can take Cunard, NCL. I don't know about age restrictions, you would have to ask a travel agent. Please don't climb on the rails these lines have enough people 'falling' overboard!
