What do you recommend? freedom of the seas or Mariner of the seas? |
Travel Info Im planning on taking a trip to the eastern caribbean, but I'm not sure which ship i should take: freedom or mariner.. can anybody whos been on these ships compare them? Travel Tips Mariner of the Seas is a Voyager Class ship, which means that she has most of the amenities of the Freedom Class - typically at a lower cost... Mariner is slightly smaller than Freedom of the Seas and doesn't carry as many passengers. Both ships have an ice rink, basketball court, mini-golf, Royal Promenade, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and the same specialty dining options. However Freedom has a larger rock climbing wall, larger gym, boxing ring, and of course the Flow Rider surf simulator... Mariner has an inline skating track - which Freedom doesn't have. There are some other minor differences as well, but having been on Freedom of the Seas and on Explorer of the Seas (another Voyager Class ship and sister ship of Mariner) I'd say you'll be just as happy with either ship... If you just have to have the Flow Rider, or the Inline Skating Track, then your decision is pretty clear cut ;) The real decider will probably be which itinerary interests you more, and which has better pricing... My guess is that Mariner will be priced better since Freedom being the biggest and newest has been fetching a premium... Ive only done the Mariner, but it was AWESOME!!!! I was there on May 06 i done some research on line and booked a cruise on mariner for october 07 but for difference in money and amenities i think mariner is a good choice I'm sure freedom is a great ship as well just newer and a bit more expensive. but you will have a wonderful cruise either way i think good luck |
