Travel Info How far is Playa Varadero 1920 from the airport? Travel Tips About 35 minutes have fun =) Others Have no clue srry this was no help :( Not too far. About 35-50 minutes, depends on the driver!! I;ve been to Varadero. to Beaches, apparently now it's called Las Antilles. I was just in Cuba n January. and I flew into Varadero Airport went went to Breezes Jibacoa. It's going the other way towards Havana, but I've been to Varadero, the beaches are beautiful and clean, but i preferred Jibacoa better. The Beaches are nice, and there is a reef about 10 metres out, so the beach is a bit rocky, but when you get out there it makes it all worthwhile. Take some bananas and bacon and b bread from breakfast buffet, put uin into a bag and open it on the reef with snorkling gear, and have camera. AWESOME. Serioulsy my choices were between the Globalia Playa Veradero and Breezea Jibacoa. I did some research and the time I wanted to go the Globalia was redoing the pool. I checked out Trip Advisor, and found it very helpful. I choose Jibacoa based on this, I read so many positive experincesces, which I had, and read the negative ones, which I amassed to extreme (and obsuresed)expectations, and to someeone that is expecting a 9+++++ resort that will cater to them hand on foot , when they are just typical resotees like me. Depends on what airport , if it is from the Varadero airport you are right there , but if it is from Jose Marti International Airport in Havana CIty is between 2-3 hours , Varadero is a peninsula located in the province of Matanzas , Havana City is next to it , 180 kms is the distance between them.
