Can a person become a legal permanent resident or naturalized citizen of Cuba? |
Travel Info Can a person become a legal permanent resident or naturalized citizen of Cuba? Travel Tips I am sure there is a process, but why would anyone want to become a citizen of Cuba with so many fleeing the island due to its' economic conditions and human rights abuses? The Cuban people are beautiful people and while I do not support the U.S. embargo, I just don't understand why anyone would apply for citizenship. There are many permanent residents on the island (mainly diplomatic, charitable workers) but the one would have to have a strong reason to be in Cuba to gain residency. Others Hmmmm, not sure about this one. If you're from the US, we have an embargo against Cuba. It probably wouldn't be a wise thing to do. You can get arrested just for purchasing a cigar from there. I don't know about citizens from other countries. This will be an interesting topic. Yea i think every country lets you become a resident or a naturalized citizen ...but man i was there last year for 2 weeks and i was hungry as hell! why would you want to leave the great USA! i love where i came from dont get me wrong nice people ture friends but Castro has made it hell! |
