Cuba ---varadero? |
Travel Info im goin to varedero in oct and wud like to know wot the weather will be like. also how much spending money will i need in english pounds for two weeks for two adults. any other advise wud be grateful. Travel Tips Try no to buy unnecessary stuff. Others I had spent a week at the Brisa del Caribe, in the presidential suite,in Varedaro. Are you going all inclusive? If so, then depending on your shopping habits, and your plans for when you do travel, ( are you going to be taking in all the sites, the cafes, and recreational activities that you can?) I would say to bring about $500 pounds for each week you are there. This works out to just under $1000 american a week, which should be more than enough to cover your expenses. But be prepared to want to upgrade your suite at the hotel that you stay at, which could cost you anywheres from an extra 10 to 50 US dollars a night. Be sure to to find out if your hotel will take travelers checks, which are thebest way to go, since I don't advise carrying around large amounts of currency with you. If you have to carry any large currency with you, make sure that you have a secure place to put it. As for the weather, Cuba is not as hot and humid as one would think, but be prepared for cool, rainy, and damp weather. This would include bringing rain gear, (good rainproof jacket, pants, and even gloves if you are going to be traveling outdoors alot.) If you are just going to stay around you hotel, then some warm clothes for those cool nights is an idea. Good shoes are a definate, as is proper diner attire. (Evening dress, Suite, Shoes). For the hotter, sunny days, swimwear, shorts, sandles, and sneakers are common, as well as light colored pants and shirts. Bring a good sunscreen with you, at least an SPF 60 or above, and get your Hep A and B shots before you go. These you can get through your local physician, as well as having a thorough checkup before you leave. And make sure that you get complete health insurance coverage before you leave, and that the hotel that you stay at recognizes your coverage plan, as well as having insurance in case of any "loss" of personal affects. I had an unfortunate run in with a jelly fish when I was there, with rather painful results, while my then present girlfriend had half her luggage stolen at the airport. Oh yeah, make sure you have change in your pocket when you go to the bathroom at the airports, as the attendents require tipping. Good luck, and have a great time. Hi, We stayed at Playa Alameda (now none as Iberostar Alameda) we spend nearly 拢1000 on trips which included Havana, this included meals outside of hotel, rum, cigars and a few presents. |
