Travel Info So im planning to go to Veradero on June the second. From yahoo answers, i learned that i cannot use american dollers there even though i am a tourist?? Is this true. IF so, can i use canadian dollers and how much pesos is equivalent to a canadian dollar?? Travel Tips Well you can use American currency, however, be prepared to pay a penalty for doing so. I am unsure of what the conversion rates on for Canadian dollars to peso's since the rates change on a daily basis. Use euros, it's more easy for you... ok when you go to cuba you need to change from dollar to cuban dollars the equivalent is the 80% is really crazy but thats how works if you have canadian dollar you can use them and is going to be better for you cus the canadian dolar are 1 by 1 i mean 100% with the cuban dollars good luck and have fun i cuba im from there they charge the exchange rate + 10% if your exchanging US dollars. Canadian $s are ok and UK cash is fine - so long as its english bank notes (no scottish bank notes allowed, prob the same story for irish bank notes too). as for the exchange rates i have no ideas but you can exchange money in the airport. hope you enjoy cuba - im going in november and cant wait to go.
