My Vote: Cuba!! Hands down - been to both places, but just LOVED Cuba! There is so much more to see and do, and if you like culture, this is where you will definately find it. My resort of choice: Sol Melia in Santa Clara, Cuba! Source(s): Personal Experience

I travelled alone to Cuba and Dominican. I felt alot safer in Cuba, the beaches are more beautiful, but it is a very sad country. Dominican you don't wander away from your hotel, the people there are very nice. I would just sat with either country, be careful who you meet and who you sleep with, there is alot of AIDS and STD's

The currency exchange is great (you definitely get more for your money).

The night life is awesome.
Go to Cuba, its awesome there. It has beautiful beaches and great hotels and theres a lot you can do. Also some beaches in Dominican arent as clean as in Cuba. But since this is only my opinion i think you should do some research on Dominican and Cuba and look at some hotels and what you can do there and decide whatever you like better.
Cuba, you wont regret it but make sure you leave your girls at home and walk with truck loads of Magnums and Trojans for you smaller guys
