Has anyone stayed at the Arenas Doradas in Varadero? |
Travel Info We are going from there for a week starting the 27th of december. Is the overall quality good, is there alot to do. Is the food good, what are the shuttle times, the activity times, and the website if there is one. We are a family of 4, a 43 year old, 40 year old, 14 year old, and 11 year old..... so what woruld be interesting for the kids also? Thnak you :) Travel Tips Stayed down the beach from this hotel. We stayed 5 times at the Arenas Blancas. My boss always stays at the Arenas Doradas. He likes it. I believe its a 4 plus star like mine. You will enjoy it. Next time try and stay at a newer, even though the A.D. isnt that old, cubans cannot replace anything broken, they can only fix them. So some problems arise in the semi older hotels like air conditioning, ice machines, refrigerator problems breaking down alot. But you will enjoy. Others I don`t know if you have booked your stay already. But if you haven麓t, I wouldn`t recommend Arenas Doradas. It is too old and I know a couple of people who stayed there and didn`t like it that much. When I was booking my trip, our travel agent told us not to choose Arenas Doradas. Instead, we stayed at Barcelo Marina Palace which is wonderful. This one has lots of activities to choose from. They have a private sport centre where you can play tennis, football,... and a sea activities centre (with catamaran, boats,...). Also, they have dancing lessons, contests by the beach and even spanish lessons. |
