Travel Info I'm going to Varadero, Cuba next week. Any tips on best places to visit and things to do? Travel Tips I've been to Veradero twice and Cayo Cocco once. Both are beatiful. I recomend going into downtown veradero and talking to locals. It is perfectly safe even at 3am. The best club there is La Havana Club, also La Ramba and The Mambo Club are good. There is also a great market right in the middle of town where you can buy everything from coral and gold jewelery, wood carvings cigar boxes, t shirts etc.. alot like a flee market. Lots of deals to be made don't be afraid to offer less money. If a necklace is $10 ask for 3 for $20 you'll get it. I also reccomend renting a scooter usually about $25 for 24 hours no licence required and you can go from one end of the peninsula to the other great scenery. Have fun I'm jeleous. Others The weather is beautiful, but the days are short. Enjoy the beach, its beautiful, there is a town you can enjoy and its safe. I have been to Varadero five times, we always stayed at Arenas Blancas. Have fun. How's the weather in Cayo Coco, Cuba? |
