Cuba activties in anothere hotel (going jan1-9) in varadero? |
Travel Info does anybody know if somebody else, in another hotel is allowed to enter or participate in activities with your hotel? how's the weather there? how's the food? anything i should worry about? anyhting really good? answer as quick as possible need to know now!! thanx Travel Tips I stayed at Club Amigo last January. Everyone is given a color coded wrist band which identifies their hotel - so staff and guests know if they belong or not. I don't think they would be welcome to eat the buffet or swim in the pools, etc. January is the coldest month in Cuba (but still very humid) - just bring a light sweater for night time. Also, the ocean is really cold, so you may want to think twice about booking a day snorkeling, etc - because there also isn't a lot of water life, and you will freeze your buns off. Even the pools are really cold. The food is ok - very basic - but they have very strict government guidelines so the food is very safe to eat. Usually, its cold because they don't have the equipment to keep it warm. Also, their staff aren't worldly in the kitchen, so just expect ho hum food for the week. Also, we would book to eat in the a-la-carte dining rooms and the same stuff would be served on the buffet the next day so its a little repetitive. Varadero is a small place - you can take the bus into town and there is a really big market to visit. There is also a mall to visit, which is also located near the golf course. There is really nothing to worry about - except a lot of fat naked European men. Europeans are naked all over the beaches - whether its a nude hotel or not - its just what they do. Make sure you go to your hotel orientation - they will give you loads of information. I'm sure you will have fun and hope you have great weather. |
