Mosquitos are everywhere but 2 years ago really bad in cayo coco is it still as bad?

My hubby and I were in Cayo Coco in April last year and had no problem whatsoever with mosquito's, the hotel we were at sprayed every single night, I think some people had a bit of a problem but they were going down the beach really early to put a towel on a lounger and got bitten to pieces, our opinion, served them right for been stupid as there were enough loungers to go round, we picked up a few tips while we were there because we did have a bit of a problem with sand flies for the first day or so, each night before you go out spray mosquito's spray on your legs from the knee downwards, it worked like magic and the sand flies left us well and truly alone after we did that, a lot of people were telling us to take antihistamines for two weeks before we came away on a holiday to Cuba again as it stops the itching if the mossies or sand flies attack you, take the non drowsy ones from Asda, apparently they are really good and cheap too but carry on taking them while your in Cuba, Avon do an excellent after sun with mosquito repellent, hope these tips help but like I say we had no problems with mossies at all and hope you don't either. |
