Would it be reasonable to buy a moped in Cuba?

I'm looking to go sometime next year, and would ideally like to spend up to three months just tearing around on a moped. Would it be reasonable/cost effective/easy to buy and then resell a moped? Or would I be better off renting?

Any ideas on prices for either renting or buying?

It is roughly $140 cuc to rent a Moped for a week in Cuba. I don't believe you would be able to purchase one as a non-citizen of the country, unless you found a citizen willing to sell it to you. (highly doubtful) Some places may give you a deal on renting for a week or longer.

I don't think you can buy a moped in Cuba. If you can bring one over from here and sell it. You can make some money
