Have any Americans gone to Cuba recently? |
Travel Info I was just wondering if any Americans went to Cuba, either directly or via a third country, and made it back into the USA without any problems from US Customs. Travel Tips I have gone both via third country and through the US. I have not had any issues, but that is probably because of my citizenships staus. (i'm a citizen of three countries...). But I know people who are only American and have not gotten a permit and traveled to Cuba via Canada. They did not have any issues upon their return. Others I have gone to some nice Cuban Cigars Via Nassau ... But that's about it. for now... We will be allowed back in & out, peacefully and without problems sooner than you think. It is not illegal for Americans to go to Cuba. It is illegal for US citizens to go to Cuba..... BUT,,,, thousands of US citizens go every year with no trouble. In the spirit of Thomas Jefferson, it is a citizen's duty to disobey unjust, arbitrary or unconstitutional laws. Have a nice trip!! I went to Guantanamo Bay for a year. It's not exactly like real Cuba, and its harder for anyone to go there than it is for a US citizen to go to real Cuba, but since going there and getting what little exposure I did to the culture, I have dreamed of going to real Cuba. You should email me and let me know what you find out. i'd worry more about cuba customs than us customs! |
