If you live in the United States can you go to Cuba through Canada.? |
Travel Info I've heard a lot of people do this they say it's a lot better than going from Florida, but is it LEGAL? Travel Tips Generally speaking, no. There are a handful of ways to do this as a US citizen (though the Bush administration has tightened controls on these also) but going through Canada does not circumvent the existing ban. (This does not mean to imply that you can't do it...only that it remains illegal.) Fortunately, I hold out hope that with the demise of Fidel, America will return to it's senses and destroy Cuban Communism with it's real power...engagement. A Disneyworld Havana would have brought down the government years ago. Others I don't know about through Canada but you can go through Mexico. It's not legal for a US citizen but you can do it and they will not stamp your passport. There are many tours through Mexico. no Sure, but the swim is a real challenge! If you have a US passport, it shows you to be an American citizen. It is therefore illegal if I understand the laws we are governed by. That doesn't mean you can't get there, it is just illegal. Hi. Canada is not hostile to Cuba and you can get there from Canada. But now you need a Visa to get back from Canada. probalby not. Canada would be quite a ways to go just to get to Cuba. If your looking for a loop hole, try mexico. haha |
