Can you take a cruise from Mexico to Cuba? |
Travel Info I would love to go to Cuba with my boyfriend the next time he goes, but I am American, and I'm also afraid to fly. Is it actually possible to take a cruise ship to Cuba? I was looking at the map the other day and realized that Cancun and Cuba are basically as close as Cuba and Miami! Does anyone know of a cruise ship leaving Mexico that would travel to Cuba, and have you done this? It seems that most cruise companies are from the US...and I know we aren't suppossed to go to Cuba. Travel Tips I live in Mexico, but am an American. I plan on going to Cuba, but realize that I will have to "lose" my passport afterwards, applying for a new one. We as Americans aren't allowed (You are an American, aren't you?) to set foot on Cuban soil, and could have problems with a Cuban stamp in our passports. It's part of the embargo from back in the Kennedy days. The Cubans have no problem with us visiting and I have never heard of any big issues with safety. Or at least no more so than visiting other Latin American countries. I supplied a link to a cruise that originates from Cancun, Mexico. Good Luck, Rob Source(s): http://www.viajaporcuba.com/php/web.php?... Other Travel Tips YES, but you need a passport |
