How can an American travel to Cuba? |
Travel Info I'm getting married in April 2008 and would like to have my honeymoon in Cuba. Are there any legal methods of travel that I could use without possibility of State Department or immigration problems? Travel Tips Go through Canada, people do it all the time! Check with your Travel agent to see who has direct flights from what city as seasonality changes on the West coast more then the East. or try some Canadian tour operators for their schedules out of certain cities. Air Canada Vacations, Sunquest, Air Transat Holidays, Sun Wing, Signature Vacations etc. =) Others via mexico get a raft, and float over there You can take an airplane or a cruise or even a boat but not a car or train. Well, thousands and thousands of US citizens go to Cuba every year. You can go to Mexico first, then go from there. You probably don't want them to stamp your passport. :-) This is not technically legal, but lots of people do it... Travel through Canada. In Cuba, ask them not to stamp your passport. There are no legal ways for Americans to travel to Cuba as a tourist. Some exceptions exist for other reasons (humanitarian relief, journalists, family re-unification), but tourism or a honeymoon is not one of them. There are those who circumvent the law by traveling through other countries, but this is NOT considered legal. |
