Where is the best state to move for a 25 yr old RN trying to leave MS? |
Travel Info I have been living in Ms all my life and it is so boreing here, and it long over do for a change. I am a single african american lady wanting to move somewhere that has alot to do and the people are friendly. I was thinking Dallas, Atlanta, Florida maybe. Any other suggestions. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Travel Tips I live in Jackson, Ms but am origionally from Atlanta. I assure you that you will love Atlanta. Good people of all races and national origins, work opportunities plentiful, a multitude of things to do- whether you are an outdoors person, arts nut, theatre buff, or anything else. Just choose your area to live in wisely for there are in Atlanta, as all major cities, good and not so good areas to live! Best wishes and I assure you Mississippi will miss you! Others If your a RN, why not be a traveler RN? With a nursing shortage you can work anywhere and rate the states you work in. If you are an RN, DEFINITELY look into Travel Nursing. Both my sister and my niece are RN's and the both do the travel thing. (the only thing is having to get your licence in different states-but well worth it) I think every company gives you a sign on bonus. Most assignments are 13 week minumum (you can get longer ones too.) The companies my family works for pay not only their paychecks, but also put them up in really nice apartments-rent paid by the agency. My sister has worked in Vermont, Boston, Mass, several times in Florida, Maryland, Washington, DC, California, and Rhode Island. My niece (who only started traveling this past year) has been to California, Rhode Island, and Virginia Beach. The Tulsa area here in Oklahoma has a great shortage of doctors and nurses. Here in Owasso where I live they are building 2 new hospitals. Owasso is a suburb of Tulsa. Suggest you check this area out before making a decision. The cost of living here is very low compared to many parts of the states and the quality of life is first class. Austin Texas is just about 4hrs away from Dallas. I really think that you would like to move thr. |
