Best Suburbs around Dallas?

im looking to relocate to the dallas area...i dont mind living farther out from the downtown area ...My first priority is excellent schools since i have four kids and very low crime. I am looking for a house around 250K-350K with 3+ bedrooms etc. If you can throw some towns at me that would be great. Thanks

I would try Allen, McKinney, Frisco, Plano these are all north of Dallas and semi country. All have great schools and housing well within your price range. Dart which is. "rapid area transit "services most of them already or will very soon. You can get on the train and be downtown in 20 minutes safe and sound. I live in McKinney and have 20 acres with livestock for what you are willing to pay.

McKinney is about as Diverse as you can get. A large black and Hispanic demographic make up as well as white and all levels of income from poor to multi millionaires.

I just read an article today in D magazine, mag on Dallas of course, I think it's in the May or June issue, but it rates the top 50 places to live in and around Dallas, and I do recall that #1 rated is Southlake, but I'm not sure I'd put it at #1 with the mean sales price just over half a million i believe.

I have a friend that lives in Arlington, TX. I visited there its really nice. Not sure about how far it is from Dallas... Maybe 45mins.
