What are the property tax rates for the DFW area? |
Travel Info Looking to buy a house down there. Live in CO now. Travel Tips Dallas County: http://www.dallascounty.org/department/t... Tarrant County (Fort Worth area): http://www.tad.org/webpages/taxrates.htm... Collin County (north of Dallas): http://www.collincad.org/ Denton County (north of Fort Worth): http://tax.dentoncounty.com/main.asp?dep... Others property tax rate for the city of Arlington is 64.8 cents per $100 of assessed value. Arlington is located between Ft. Worth and Dallas with a population of roughly 350,000. (Just in case you didn't know where we are). Good luck. They are pretty high compared to many areas. Just to give you an idea, We pay around 7,000 a year for a 300k home. Which equals out to just under $600 a month. But we don't pay state tax, so it all evens out. And the prices here are great! The reason I say that is because I'm originally from CA, where the home prices are absolutely rediculous. A $300k home there would be a dump, if you could find one for that cheap. Anyway, we love it here! Texas is a great state. Good luck with your move. We just moved here from Florida, and everything is expensive. We paid about $1500 in FL, and here it's more like $7500 (rough estimates). Also, utility bills are outrageous. For a 3000 sq. ft. home with a pool, electricity bills are 500-600 dollars (during the summer, when the electricity company doesn't screw up your bill and charge you 700). Yes, real estate prices are much lower than in other parts of the country (FL for instance), but the cost of maintaining a home is much more expensive. We're in Keller, which is NE of Fort Worth. |
