Visiting Dallas Early November? |
Travel Info Hi...I'll be visiting Dallas for a long weekend in the beginning of November with some girlfriends. Just had a few questions... What is the weather like at that time? Where is the best area to stay? I've been told some conflicting things...West End, Addison, Downtown. What do you all think? Thanks! Travel Tips Stay at the ANATOLE it is awsome.last i checked there are tons of bed & breakfast all over and in downtown. *Deep ellum..3 streets full of clubs,dancing,,eats..all sorts of stuff.from down town to east dallas. *Lower greenville(east of downtown bout 10 min.take Live Oak then turn left @ light<MUnger>munger turns into lower greenville. has alot like deep ellum. *there is a restaurant on the 35th floor of the ADAMS mark hotel with a GREAT VIEW! The Chapparall.fine food.windows all around..hotel is on Pearl st. * the arboretum is on Garland road right next to white rock lake about 15 min east of downtown. I am love with that place. *Dakotas is in downtown.all you will see is an elevator(it takes you underground to their restaurant ,,waterfall also. *Kobe's steaks..real Japanese dining..you take off your shoes and everything(one of the locations is in Addison) * and of course the renunion tower in down town. hope this helps = ) weather?? guuurrll this is TEXAS..you'll need shorts, umbrella, jacket, tank top, snow shovel.. LOL Source(s): lived there allllllotta yrs if i remember more directions i will come back and edit www.guidelive.com www.visitdallas.com ~events~ Other Travel Tips It all depends what you want to do and what you want to see, downtown on the weekend you can shoot a cnnon and not hit anyone, rates are cheaper, there is a free tram that goes all over, weather, should still be nice, maybe a little cool at night, if you rent a car you can go where ever and sty at the lest expensive place, but still in a good area. thee are some really cool places there, but really need a car, cabs are expensie, from DFW to wontown about $72.00 and that was last year and the price of gas was lower! Downtown is great but there's a lot of construction going on right now so I don't recommend it. It depends on what your trip will consist of. Most of the culture is down town so you can stay anywhere close to there would be ideal. There's Hotel Zsa Zsa, which is eclectic and awesome, the Adolphus, a little more classy, or the Adam's Mark. Visit the Ghost Bar in the W off 35 by the American Airlines Center, go to our city website to check out the events happening at that time. Deep Ellum is a cool downtown venue with all kinds of bars, clubs, restaurants, and things to do. The weather will be a little cooler at that time but just keep checking online for the weather and see. |
