Travel Info I was wondering if it is a nice place to live? What ammenities does it have to offer? Travel Tips Red Oak is a small town about 20 miles south of the Dallas City line in Ellis county. It has little to recommend it other than its proximity to Dallas. This does not mean that it is a bad place to live but only that there is not a lot to do in Red Oak itself.
