Is there any part of the DFW Metroplex that's good for young families to live in? |
Travel Info I'm thinking of moving to Dallas/Fort Worth for work, and was looking for parts of the area that are affordable for young families and have a good slate of activities for kids. Anyone have any ideas? Travel Tips check out fort worth! i spent almost my entire childhood there and loved it. :) there are so many great things for a family to do and you are not far from the other offerings in the metroplex. we lived by keller in northeast fort worth area. west fort worth is really up and coming right now. Others coppell is a very good place. safe, lots of kid friendly activities, affordable. its not a "small town". its population is around 40,000. near airport, grapevine, lewisville live in coppell and dont regret it rowlett and rockwall are both about 20mins. outside of downtown dallas, they are pretty nice places i'm raising my kids here and its great! There's lots of places depending on what you're looking for. Arlington, HEB area, Coppell, for example. Mansfield is very hot right now. Just south of Arlington/Grand Prairie, it's grown like weeds lately. Frisco area (way north) has also grown like crazy. The DFW area as a whole has lots of activities, so you should be in good shape no matter where you end up. If you give me a better idea where you'll be working, and what you like to do, I can probably narrow the choices further. move to south dallas naw i am joking!!! i have been living here for 17 years now and i think the best place to live is Rockwall, Rowlett, Richardson, Highland Park, Uptown Dallas, Plano, or Allen (very good school system and very good football teams) Get real....Dallas has one of the highest crime rates in the U.S. |
