Travel Info Does it actually snow in Texas?? Travel Tips Rarely, and it doesn't tend to stick. I've only seen it twice; once in Port Arthur (about two hours drive south of Houston) and it was just a dusting, and once in Dallas as I was taxi-ing down the runway to leave.I've seen snow in Texas. I lived in Ft. Worth, we had snow a couple of times there. Yes, but only when they import it for Christmas or to film a movie Yes. It is very rare close to the Gulf coast, but becomes more common as you move inland and to higher ground. In the winter of 2001 it certainly did..lol..Texas/Arkansas got so much Snow and ice, it stayed nasty for about two weeks. parts yes, like panhandle, north and some parts of centeral tx and some parts of the south do! |
