Travel Info why was my flight cancelled today Travel Tips Maybe the weather of your destination. Others Flights are being cancelled due to bad weather in other parts of the country. American cancelled all flights into and out of Chicago until 10 am this morning. They cancelled them last night. They would prefer to cancel the flights before you get to the airport, according to them, so that you do not end up being stuck there for hours. I live in the Dallas area and flew in last night from Boston. My original flight was cancelled yesterday, however, I was able to get on a later flight once the ice storm let up. Believe it or not, Dallas experienced a freeze over yesterday and last night. Many people believe that Dallas is warm all of the time, however, they do have drastic drops in temperature and experience freezes each year. It's a sunny day today so you should be able to get on a later flight once the ice melts. |
