Travel Info I am going to Dallas this weekend for a convention. I have never been there so I booked my flight for a day early so I could at least do something while I'm there. What are some fun things to do (I'll be by myself) ? By the way- what is the weather like right now? I need to know how to dress. Thanks! Travel Tips I am from there, and the weather is turning very cold for the weekend--highs in the 50's and lows in the 20's, and a wind that will knife right through you. We call this a Blue Norther, and this is the first one of the year. What you want to do will vary widely be exactly where you are. Downtown Dallas has the West End entertainment district with the Dallas World Aquarium. The original Neiman Marcus is also downtown. Northpark Shopping Mall, the oldest mall in American, has just been renovated and is really fun at Christmas. There are tons of museums, including the Nasher Sculpture Center and the Dallas Museum of Art. There's always Dealey Plaza, where Kennedy was shot. If you are going to be somewhere else, ask again, and I will redirect you. Others Dont know about the weather, but theres a Hard Rock Cafe there if your into that, & a Hooters restuarnt too. there is lots of shopping and site seeing nice people its so big there is so much 2 do here. u would like it here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it will be kind of cold here so bring a jacket but u never no for sure what the weather will be like its unpredictable!!!!!!!! My favorite place by far in Dallas is the zen garden in the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens at 8617 Garland Rd. Dallas telephone # 214-515-5500.
