Travel Tips
I think Dallas is a great city to live in! It's good for any family income. There are beautiful lakes and a very nice scenary. They city skyline is nice also and they are getting ready to build a bridge there too. City night life is good too. There is crime, just like in any other major city. Great population and very diverse.

Well, maybe I'm prejudiced, but I love DFW. I have lived here all my life, except for 2 years in college. Dallas is my home.

There are lots of lakes in the area, so there are great places to go for water skiing, swimming, fishing. The art museums, (DMA, Crow, Meadows, Kimbell, etc) are great to visit. The weather is usually pretty good. Most of my family lives in town. I can go to Fair Park at any time, not just during the State Fair.
I like the DFW area too, but we're actually comtemplating a move to Wisconsin to be closer to family. I like the weather, most of the time, although I sure didn't this past summer. It was way too hot, which is hard when you have a vehicle w/ no a/c. The job situation is pretty good too, and all the things you can do in this area is great.
No. We moved out to a more rural part of Texas over 11 years ago. The people here are much more friendly, roads less congested, the crime rate is sooooooo much lower, and I'm surrounded by clean air instead of pollution. Hated living in Dallas! Sure wish those that seem to be following in our footsteps wouldn't keep trying to bring "big city" life to the country.
I've been living in Dallas area for 23 years, so far I don't have major complains. As with any large cities in the world, most people moved to DFW because of jobs, education, or better opportunities. Once settled, they may attract more family, relatives & friends to move here with them. Overall, I like the low cost of living (house, gas...), convenience (airport, shopping, various events) and no long cold winter.
