Travel Info What are good/popular places to visit in Dallas? Travel Tips If you are in a laid back mood...check out White Rock Lake...large beautiful lake surrounded by mansions! Open to the public at all times. I suggest going in the day light hours. There are sooo many museums in the Fair Park area, in the Southern part of Dallas. West End (near the place JFK was asssinated) Very historical spot, nice restaurants with great night life. Lower Greenville Avenue--Clubs, cajun food, fun nightlife, you name it. DART-Public transportation is pretty good, you can ride Down town Dallas and go "exploring", the famous Dallas aqaurium is near the West End. Dallas Cowboy stadium I could name so much more...you might want to make more than 1 trip...you'll have plenty to do, have fun! Source(s): I live in Dallas! Other Travel Tips theres dallas stadium, the dallas cowboy cheerleader hq, the building where the mavs and the stars play, the grassy knoll where the 2nd gunmen was at, the book depository where oswald was at, the jfk motorcade route, etc... im just guessing ive never been past va beach Primary activities in Dallas are Shopping and Eating out! We have a great art museum and sculpture museum and many cultural activities taking place all the time. The Arboretum is a great place to walk around. We have a private aquarium (Dallas World Aquarium) that is interesting to visit. Anyone who visits Dallas should also drive over to Fort Worth.
