Dallas, the city itself, is not but what is commonly referred to as the "Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex" is.

I grew up in suburban Philadelphia and moved to Dallas 12.5 years ago to get away from the population. I have since watched the Metroplex go from 11th largest to overtake Philadelphia as the 5th largest metro area in the country. It's horrifying.
