Ice tends to be slightly more common here, after wet precipitation in the colder part of the winter, but not often. Makes for some less than fun driving. Source(s): 27 year D/FW area resident Other Travel Tips I don't live in Dallas but my guess is that it doesn't snow there very often. It usually snows twice a year. The snow doesn`t get that deep. It is the ice storms that comes with the snow that makes it bad. It is generally gone by about 3 or 4 days and is bad for the first two days when it happens. Lived in the area for 5 years. Once in a blue moon .Plan to die of heat . Unbearable summers. from a Texan. It ices every year. Measurable snow only once in a lifetime. |
