Not that Ruidoso is bad, but it's so far south, the snow is sometimes questionable, especially after lunch time. I've enjoyed it every time I've gone. Taos is strictly skiers and a difficult mountain, which I love. The Triangle is a great place if you want some variety. You've got Angelfire, Red River, and Taos all fairly close to each other. If you go a little further south, you'll be able to catch some different ski towns, such as Santa Fe. Anywhere you go, you're looking at an 11-12 hour drive. I'd say it's worth it for any of them! New Mexico. But if you willing to drive 15 hrs Breckenridge, CO is awesome. Pergatory in New Mexico. |
