Travel Info Do you like dallas? Travel Tips The heat is overrated - I think that 10 months out of the year Dallas is fine - July and August can be tough but not every summer is the same. If by 'Dallas' you mean the Metroplex (including all of the suburbs) then I would say 'Dallas' is a good place to live. I have a kid so Coppell/Valley Ranch was great for me. Plano/Frisco or Southlake offer alot too. But the city of Dallas itself, alone, does not offer much of anything. For a city that expects to be 'all that' it just doesn't have it - restaurants are fine, if you can get away from the chains, but not much else is being offered. Good luck ! Source(s): Iived there 11 yrs. Other Travel Tips idk.do u?i never been there. Fort Worth is better. We're less crowded and nicer. Plus, who wouldn't want their city to be called Funkytown? No, it is hot and crowded. Heat is oppressive it is not uncommon to have temps in the upper 80s in April and Oct the Nineties in May and Sept and the 100s in June- August. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/fwd/climo/dfw/df... I didn't used to, but then I came to college in the middle of nowhere, Virginia, and I have come to love it. It's got great museums, lots of shopping (other than just walmart like here) and it's a pretty good city, in my opinion. You just have to get over the heat thing in the summer. |
