Is Austin overrated? |
Travel Info dallas seems more progressive than austin, texas...more buildings...but at the same breath I can't say there is really much to do in dallas...I hear austin has alot to offer but I wouldn't say that really..they just seem more cultured....alot of wierd ppl...but dallas and austin dont really have nice sites too see (not a good place for site seeing)...other than the capitol building in austin...and no places that really stand out... Travel Tips Have u ever been to Mt. Bonnell? Lake Travis? Deep Eddy? Barton Springs? 6th St? S. Congress? UT games? Dallas to me seems more uppity. It is too big..the only place to really go in Dallas is downtown at the West End. It's alright I guess, but Austin just has a more laid back energy. Source(s): Lived in Austin 25 yrs, Carrollton 1 year Other Travel Tips Boy did you miss the boat in austin. There is The greenbelt to terrorize on a dirt bike, zilker part to terrorize the hippies then they have Eor's birthday to terrorize the hardcore hippies. They have the gay pride parade to terrorize gays,There is Hippy Hollow to terrorize nudists, there is the flea market to terrorize the mexicans. Then there is 6th street for all the nite life. I loved living there. I live in Dallas now and I don't like it. you sure do judge alot for not really looking around a city and trying to actually see what it has to offer. both cities have plenty of nice sites and offers plenty of things to do, anybody who has actually go out and done stuff in both places knows this. |
